Began his career at EMI in 1970 working out of Gooseberry Studios and then onto Chappelll Studios where he engineered for artists such as Shirley Bassey, Vera Lynn, The Jam, The Sex Pistols, The Rutles, The Saints, Monty Python's Life Of Brian, Ginger Baker and many more.
Grammy nominated for his contibution to the soundtrack to The Rutles, which also featured the likes of George Harrison of THE BEATLES. He then received worldwide acclaim as the engineer behind the Monty Python classic, "Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life".
He has also worked with a myriad of artists in the UK including Sir Paul Young, Kikki Dee, Toyah Wilcox, John Otway, Neil Innes and Peter Skellern, to name a few.
As a favour to a relative, he Produced a project no-one paid much attention to at the time, a strange show called THE TELETUBBIES.
In Australia, he has done soundtracks for Sons Of Steel and Young Einstein, as well as Producing chart topping records for The Screaming Jets, worked with The Angels and Cold Chisel. Steve won Arias for Producer and Engineer of the year for his work with Oblivia and has sinced Produced artists Skunkhour, Wetta (NZ), McClymonts, Airbourne,Diana Anaid, Jesso, Charlie Keller and many more.
Steve's great strength is his effortless abilty to pull great sounds. On top of that is his way with artists, putting people at ease. He is a Producer in the truest sense of the word, with him roles become crystal clear, burdons are lifted.
